UN regrets Russia’s ‘peacekeeping’ mission, warns over risk of ‘major conflict’

The United Nations lamented Russia’s structure to send troops into eastern Ukraine on an announced ‘peacekeeping mission’, the body’s political issues boss told a crisis Security Council meeting on Monday, advance notice that the gamble of ‘significant struggle’ was genuine and required to have been forestalled.

Talking without a second to spare gathering over Ukraine, UN political undertakings boss Rosemary DiCarlo repeated that the United Nations was focused on the sway, autonomy and regional respectability of Ukraine, inside globally perceived boundaries.
