According to a recent poll by an online learning platform provider, 83% of businesses in the UAE have said that they are ready to use generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) into their operations to assure future development and success.
Algorithms like ChatGPT that employ generative AI or machine learning may generate new material, including voice, code, graphics, text, simulations, and movies.
Over 500 business executives in the UAE participated in the study, which was carried out by Coursera in collaboration with analytics firm YouGov. Its goal was to research how people see generative AI and how it affects businesses and the workforce.
The survey also found that 50% of company executives think generative AI would alter the skills needed by the workforce. Companies will use online training to upskill their staff in order to close the AI skills gap.
“Data from our study emphasises the importance of continuous learning for both employees and job seekers, empowering them to proactively adapt to the ever-evolving demands of the modern workplace,” said Kais Zribi, general manager for Middle East and Africa at Coursera.

In his statement, Zribi emphasised that “the remarkable implementation of generative AI and the UAE companies’ commitment to embrace this transformative technology highlight the nation’s successful investment in shaping the future.”
