The UAE Public Prosecution on Wednesday notified occupants on the punishments for encroachment about information relating to monetary, business or financial organizations utilizing data innovation.

As per Article 8 of the Federal Decree-Law No.34 of 2021 on Combatting Rumors and Cybercrimes, “whoever gets, obtains, alters, annihilates, discloses, makes accessible, drops, erases, revises, imitates, distributes or republishes any private data or information relating to a monetary, business or financial organization utilizing data innovation or a data innovation signifies” will be condemned to transitory detainment for a base term of five years and a fine going somewhere in the range of Dh500,000 and Dh3,000,000.
